Registration

Can entrants register more than one vehicle?

Yes — add multiple vehicles in one registration with a live running total. Each gets a check-in QR by email and SMS.

Can we import last year's registrants?

Yes. Import existing registrants by CSV so returning entrants never have to re-key their details.

Payments

Do you take card and cash?

Both. Card runs through your own Stripe or Square; cash reserves the spot and is reconciled in the same ledger.

Are there double-charge protections?

Yes. Payments are idempotent, so a refresh or double-tap never charges an entrant twice.

Check-in & day-of

How does check-in work on show day?

Volunteers scan each entrant's QR, tie it to their vehicle number, and hand off welcome bags — no paper lists, no double check-ins.

What if someone loses their QR code?

Look them up by name or vehicle number in the admin and re-send it or check them in manually.

Voting & results

What voting categories are supported?

People's Choice, Registrant and Kids, with a scan-a-number ballot and a live tally.

Can we limit votes per person?

Yes — ballots are capped (for example up to three picks) and tied to a check-in to prevent ballot stuffing.

Data & delivery

Is Samkoma self-hosted?

Yes. It's delivered as a codebase you host, so you own your data, payment provider and infrastructure.

Can we export everything?

Yes. Reconciliation and full entrant data export to CSV at any time.

Pricing

How much does it cost?

For car shows: one flat per-event fee — Tier A $150 (up to 200 vehicles), Tier B $450 (up to 1,000 + judging), Tier C $1,200 (unlimited + CSV engine). No per-car cut.

Do you take a cut of my registrations?

No. Registrations are paid to your own Stripe or Square, so you keep 100% minus standard card processing. Samkoma takes 0% of your sales.
